I provide sport psychology services to both individuals and teams, consulting with athletes since 1995 on a wide range of personal and performance related issues.
I have worked with individuals and teams in the sports of American football, baseball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, track and field, and long distance running.
I help athletes develop a number of different important mental skills including, but not limited to:
- Mental skill assessment and development
- Teaching skills in relaxation
- Addressing issues with motivation
- Improving concentration
- Learning how to set and achieve goals
- Developing effective performance routines
I utilize both cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to working with my clients. I specialize in helping athletes deal with debilitating anxiety effecting their performance.
I also help individuals and couples address issues related to anxiety, depression, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, PTSD, eating disorders, career and transitional life issues, and substance abuse.
